Our Story Founded in 1985 by Rick Butterfield from his garage in Woodland, California, Butterfield Electric Inc. began as an Industrial Service Electrical Contracting Company. With a strong foundation from his role as an electrical supervisor at Mobil Chemical’s Woodland plant, Rick built a company that has grown into one of the top 10 electrical contractors in the Sacramento Valley, as recognized by the Sacramento Business Journal in 2006. From humble beginnings, we expanded into commercial construction in 1990 and relocated in 1999 to our current headquarters, strategically located just off Interstate 5, five minutes north of Sacramento International Airport.
Our Impact Today, Butterfield Electric Inc. is a powerhouse, completing multi-million dollar projects with annual sales reaching approximately $20 million in 2005. At peak season, we employ over 200 skilled electricians in the field, supported by a dedicated staff of more than 30 professionals. Our commitment to excellence has earned us a reputation for delivering high-quality work on time and within budget, making us a trusted partner for businesses across the region.
