Butterfield Electric Inc. History: Butterfield Electric Inc. was started by Rick Butterfield out of his garage in 1985 as an Industrial Service Electrical Contracting Company in Woodland, California. After college and before starting Butterfield Electric, Rick worked for Mobil Chemical in their Stratford, Conn. Plant. He transferred to the Woodland California plant and worked in the engineering department as the electrical supervisor. Butterfield Electric grew from 1 to 10 service vans at which time an office was opened in Woodland. In 1990 the company expanded into Commercial Construction and in 1999 moved to a new location just off of Interstate 5, five minutes north of the Sacramento International Airport. By 2007 the company had already out grown that building and we once again relocated into a new facility located at Highway 113 and Intersate 5 in Woodland, CA

Butterfield Electric Inc. has grown to become one the top 10 Electrical Contractors in the Sacramento Valley area as listed in the Sacramento Business Journal for 2008, completing multi-million dollar projects with annual sales of approximately 27 million dollars in 2007. At peak season we typically employ 200 plus electricians in the field and have a full support staff of over 30 employees.

Design/Build:

Full project cycle design development from conception to final completion. A pre-construction co-ordinate system allows for rapid response to ongoing revisions throughout the project life cycle. Pre-construction. We constantly are value engineering each phase of the design process to get the greatest value to our customers by implementing new technology and coordinating with local utility companies on their incentive programs.

Safety:

Our full time Safety Officer regularly visits every jobsite to ensure all safety measures are followed to the fullest and that each electrician has all the training and competent certifications necessary. Our number one Asset is our Employees!!!

Service Departments:

With fully equipped service vans, our professional service technicians are qualified to diagnose and repair any electrical repair needed, 24 hours per day, seven days a weeks in the commercial, or industrial markets. We also specialize in telephone and data communications cabling. Our number one priority is always customer service and customer satisfaction.

Renewable Energy:

Butterfield Electric has made it our priority to be a regional leader in the design and implementation of "Green" building practices. We have experience in alternative renewable energy sources such as Photovoltaic (Solar), Wind, Hydroelectric, Co-generation, Geo-Thermal, Gas Reclaim, Solar Thermal, and other popular systems. Butterfield is skilled in LEED and Lean construction practices and is in constant contact with local utilities regarding the latest rebates and incentives available.
